Perpetrate. Knowing what I have in print will hopefully remain the same forever.

The Jungle. It was a life changing experience.
What is your favourite genre and why?
Legal suspense. I can relate to the characters.
List your three favourite authors (any genre) and why?
It’s hard to limit it to three. But I would say Upton Sinclair. For his inspiring message. Kurt Vonnegut for his hopeful message. And Kilgore Trout for his tenacity. With several thousand books and short stories on science fiction he only had a single fan. This didn’t stop him from writing. However, since he is a mythical figure I will say Vince Flynn because he is a fun fast read.
What do you think makes a writer successful?
Tenacity and love of the craft.
What is it that makes you successful as a writer?

Poison: Unlocking Years of FDA Cover-Up, A look at how the world is and how with a little it may become.
How long did it take you to write your book(s)?
My first book took only 30 days to write the first draft. I had spent over a year and a half in researching the book so the writing when I was ready just flowed out. After this I took about 8 months doing rewrites. I hired a private editor to assist me and I was therefore able to control the timetable. My second book took me 7 months to write and about 6 months of research. The rewrites were much quicker on this project as I was awarded a good education on my first endeavor.
What would you do differently if you could repeat the same publishing experience?
I would have started a marketing campaign before the book’s release date. This is what I did with my second book and it appears to work much better.
What have you learned about the publishing world?
It’s all about the marketing and as a new writer that means it’s all about you marketing the book. You do not have the luxury to just write a book and then sit back and wait for the royalty checks to roll in. Think about creative ways to publicize your book and sales will grow.
This is your chance to 'Talk Back' to your readers. What would you like to say to them?
I want the readers to know how much I value the time they have invested in my work. With all the forms of entertainment we now have, television, computers, computer games, just to mention a few it’s a joy to know someone is willing to invest their time reading you book. I want to say thank you.
What's the one thing that you want them to know about your writing?
I take great care in checking the facts I place in my books. All the information, dates, locations, technology and historical figures are accurate. I do this because I know I am writing to an educated reading and I would never attempt to insult their intelligence by massaging the facts.
