Kevin Fabiano's Biography
I was born on Long Island‘s North Shore, a Manhattan suburb where most residents traveled via the Long Island Railroad to the city for work. I had a childhood filled with outdoor activities and friends. In the cold winter months, I enjoyed reading Hemingway and Twain. It made time between ski trips pass much faster.
After earning degrees in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Florida, I thought I would be happy as an attorney. I graduated from the St. Thomas School of Law in Miami. I’m from the generation of F. Lee Bailey so criminal law, it was going to be it. I found, however, being an attorney was more a matter of going to meetings and counseling clients. Not the typical courtroom drama you can read about in my novels. I decided this wasn’t going to do it for me. Instead, I went back to my first love, writing.
I live in Northeast Pennsylvania with my wife Claudia, and my two children Cassandra and Kevin Jr. The serenity of our home provides the perfect setting which allows me to write. I am thankful to my family for providing me the needed support to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing.
Kevin Fabiano's Interests
My interests include water skiing and wakeboarding, reading (obviously, what writer wouldn't want to read?), and general outdoor activities. In the winter you will definitely find me on the ski slopes. In the summer, when I'm not traveling, I'll be caught out on our boat with my wife and two Chihuahua's catching the much sought after sun rays.
Favorite Authors:
Upton Sinclair for his inspiring message. Kurt Vonnegut for his hopeful message. And Kilgore Trout for his tenacity. With several thousand books and short stories on science fiction he only had a single fan. This didn’t stop him from writing. However, since he is a mythical figure I will say Vince Flynn because he is a fun fast read.
Favorite Books:
The Jungle was life changing.
Slaughterhouse Five a great look at how war affects people.
Timequake an interesting look at the future and what's important.
Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer both are childhood favorites.
The Catcher and the Rye another childhood favorite.
Paradise Lost very inspiring and uplifting.
To Kill A Mockingbird the only legal book I enjoyed.
The Agony and the Estacy I'm a big Michelangelo fan.
Old man and the Sea a must read for everyone, I believe one of Hemingway's best.
Favorite Music:
Classic Rock like Foghat, The Doors, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones etc..
Favorite Movies:
Scarface, Al Pacino's best movie; The Outsider's, loved the book and the movie was not a disappointment.
